Description: Decumbent or prostrate annual or perennial herb with hairy stems.
Leaves elliptic, to c. 20 mm long, acute, glabrous or with scattered hairs.
Flowers in axillary clusters. Sepals usually 3, acute, 1–1.5 mm long. Petals mostly 3, obtuse, 1–1.5 mm long. Stamens usually 3.
Capsule generally 3-locular, much longer than the sepals; seeds numerous, cylindrical, pitted.
Distribution and occurrence: Widespread but not common.
