Brachyloma scortechinii F.Muell. APNI*
Description: Shrub 30–150 cm high; branchlets glabrous.
Leaves narrow-oblong or oblong-obovate, 6–12 mm long, 1–2.7 mm wide; apex acute, mucronate to 0.6 mm (mucro often broken); base truncate; margins slightly recurved, minutely toothed; lamina discolorous, lower surface paler or subglaucous; petiole absent.
Flowers solitary, green, translucent; bracts persistent, c. 0.3 mm long; bracteoles 0.6–0.7 mm long. Sepals 1.2–1.5 mm long. Corolla tube bulbous-cylindrical, 2–4 mm long; lobes erect, 1–1.5 mm long.
Fruit depressed-globose, 6–9 mm diam., ribbed, glabrous, green-brown.
Flowering: April–May.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in coastal scrub and heath on sand, north from Iluka.
