Dodonaea triangularis Lindl. APNI*
Description: Shrub to 3 m high.
Leaves obovate to oblanceolate, 1.2–3.5 cm long and 6–30 mm wide, apex acute and usually 3-toothed, base attenuate or broadly cuneate, margins entire and revolute; mostly subsessile.
Flowers solitary or in 3–6-flowered axillary or terminal cymes; pedicels 3.5–10 mm long. Sepals 4 or rarely 5, lanceolate, 1.2–3 mm long, persistent. Stamens 6–8. Ovary densely pubescent.
Capsule 3- or rarely 4-angled, 6–9 mm long, 8.5–11.5 mm wide, sparsely pubescent or sometimes glabrous; appendages usually present, 1–2 mm wide.
Distribution and occurrence: in dry sclerophyll forest and woodland in skeletal granitic and sandstone soils on ranges.
