Description: Unarmed small to medium-sized tree with tomentose twigs.

Leaves ovate to elliptic, 4–13 cm long, 3–6 cm wide, margins toothed but not lobed, upper surface sparsely tomentose, lower surface densely tomentose; petiole 1–5 cm long.

Flowers 2–4 cm diam. Petals white, pink or red.

Pome 5 cm diam., varying in colour, from green to red.
