Nyssanthes erecta R.Br. APNI*
Description: Erect to spreading herb; stems and leaves ± slightly pubescent.
Leaves elliptic to oblong to lanceolate, 20–75 mm long, 15–20 mm wide, acute with a pungent mucro.
Bracts spinescent with ovate bases; outer one 3.5–6 mm long, 2 inner 4–9.5 mm long. Perianth segments lanceolate, outermost 5–10 mm long, intermediate 3.5–7.5 mm long, 2 innermost 2–3 mm long. Stamens 4. Minor weed of disturbed areas.
