Description: Hemispherical annual or short-lived perennial to c. 30 cm high.
Leaves semiterete, succulent, 4–6 mm long.
Fruiting perianth 5–6 mm long with 2, rarely 3, fan-like, ± equal wings each 4–6 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: Less common and more restricted to saline soils than Osteocarpum acroptera.
