Description: Erect shrub or small tree, young branchlets moderately hairy.

Leaves narrow-elliptic to oblanceolate, 6–17 cm long, 8–22 mm wide, flat, with slightly recurved margins, glabrous to sparsely hairy when immature (but much denser on margins), glabrescent when mature, smooth.

Inflorescences growing on into a leafy shoot; flowers mostly subtended by leaves; pedicels 3–5 mm long, erect, moderately hairy. Tepals 9–12 mm long, acute to acuminate, moderately hairy. Ovary glabrous.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath to dry sclerophyll forest on coastal sand; from the Hastings R. to Myall Lakes.
