Platylobium montanum I.Thomps. APNI*

Description: Weakly erect to sprawling shrubs.

Leaves opposite, rarely alternate, broad ovate to ovate, bases cordate.

Inflorescences 1–4 per axil; inflorescence scales glabrous except for margins. Calyx sparsely to densely hairy with appressed hairs. Petals orange-yellow, back of standard purle-brown or with narrow yellow bands.

Pods up to 6-seeded, sutures hairy or rarely glabrous, body either hairy all over, hairs restricted to the area over the seeds, or glabrous.


Distribution and occurrence:
NSW subdivisions: SC, CT, ST, CWS, SWS
Other Australian states: Vic.
