Poa induta Vickery APNI*
Description: Greyish-green, densely caespitose perennials, the innovations intravaginal. Culms 1–2-noded, moderately slender, subterete or more or less compressed, scabrid to subsmooth, to c. 1 m tall.
Sheaths densely hairy; ligule membranous to chartaceous, obtuse or trucate, c. 1 mm long; blade rather loosely inrolled, 10–25 cm long, c. 0.7–0.8 mm wide, with a very short, oblique tip, not rigid, erect or slightly flexuose-curved, densely hairy.
Inflorescence at length much exserted, often rather contracted and one-sided and more or less lanceolate, 2.8–22 cm long. Spikelets 2–7-flowered. Glumes acute 1–3-nerved. Lemmas obtuse or subacute, web rather sparse or obsolete; palea scabrous on the keels above and ciliolate below.
Flowering: Flowers in summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Usually grows in eucalypt woodland.
