Description: Erect perennial subshrub.

Leaflets continuous with the petiole, linear, usually 10–20 mm long.

Sepals 4. Petals 4, obovate, 9–12 mm long, distinctly longer than sepals, yellow. Stamens 8; filaments subulate, abruptly widened at base, without appendages. Fruiting pedicels 10–25 mm long, reflexed.

Capsule acutely 4-angled, broad-obovoid or turbinate to campanulate, 8–11 mm long, apex truncate; seeds 1 or 2 per loculus.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows between quartzite rocks, on limestone cliffs, less frequently on sandy soils; west of the Broken Hill area. More common in the adjoining region of South Australia.
