Description: Prostrate or decumbent short-lived perennial to c. 30 cm high with hairy branches.
Leaves linear, slightly flattened, usually succulent, to c. 25 mm long.
Fruiting perianth tough, thick-walled, 2–4 mm long, hairy; base hollow, oblique; spines divergent, 2–5 mm long; tubercle c. 1 mm long, shorter than the spines.
Seed horizontal.
