Description: Erect perennial to c. 40 cm high with hairy branches.
Leaves semiterete, succulent, to c. 25 mm long, hairy.
Fruiting perianth c. 3 mm long, hairy; spines 2, divergent, 8–12 mm long; limb c. as long as lower perianth.
Seed horizontal.
Distribution and occurrence: Heavier soils of the inland.
