Solanum parvifolium R.Br. APNI*
Description: Erect woody shrub to 1 m high, dark green, hairy with minute stellate hairs; prickles scattered to abundant on branches, rare or absent elsewhere.
Leaves linear-oblong, mostly 3–6 cm long, 0.6–1 cm wide, margins entire; discolorous, upper surface green and sparsely hairy or glabrous, lower surface greyish to fawnish tomentose; petiole 3–5 cm long.
Inflorescences 1–5-flowered; peduncle to 60 mm long; pedicels 5–10 mm long. Calyx 3–4 mm long; lobes 1–2 mm long. Corolla stellate, deeply incised, 10–15 mm diam., pale blue or white.
Berry 5–8 mm diam., bright red; pedicel 12–20 mm long.
Flowering: chiefly winter–spring.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in woodland, chiefly in inland districts north from Tooraweenah, also at Berrima and Nymagee.
