Description: Annual or short-lived perennial to c. 25 cm high.
Leaves succulent, terete, to c. 20 mm long, glabrous.
Perianth segments fused for most of their length, c. 1.5 mm long. Seed erect.
Fruiting perianth 3–4 mm long, slightly swollen, ribbed, with a radicular bulge and a shallow rim around the central erect perianth lobes. Seed erect.
Distribution and occurrence: Uncommon, usually grows on gibber soils.
