Description: Erect annual herb, usually single-stemmed, 10–60 cm high, ± hirsute.
Leaves alternate, ± circular, 5–30 mm long and wide, base cordate, margins toothed, palmately veined, ± hirsute; sessile.
Flowers sessile in upper leaf axils, 1-several per axil. Sepals 3–8 mm long. Corolla blue to purple; tube 2–4 mm long; lobes 5–10 mm long.
Capsule obconic or cylindric, 4–10 mm long.
Flowering: late spring to summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Naturalized near Urbenville. Native of N Amer.
