Description: Annual herb, 10–25 cm high, erect, hirsute with glandular hairs.
Leaves oblanceolate, 10–30 mm long, 2–10 mm wide, margins entire or with 1–4 small teeth.
Heads 7–9 mm long; involucral bracts acute, often purplish and ciliate at apex. Ray florets in 2 or 3 series, white to mauve, drying pink to purple.
Achenes oblanceolate, 5–6.5 mm long; marginal ridges prominent with short appressed and spreading simple hairs; faces smooth, concave, with simple spreading hairs; pappus bristles 5–6.5 mm long.
Flowering: July–October
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in mulga, mallee and woodland communities, mainly on old sand dunes, west from Tilpa area.
