Common name: Hairpin Banksia
Banksia spinulosa var. collina-spinulosa intergrade APNI* 
Description: Leaves narrow-linear, 1–2 mm wide, margins revolute and usually finely toothed towards apex, lower surface mostly concealed, venation not prominent.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on the coast and adjacent ranges, often in rocky sites, sometimes seasonally damp; from Sydney to Vic. border this variety is relatively uniform, between Sydney and Newcastle there is a clinal change to var. collina.
