Description: Tree up to 8 m high with rough corky bark; young leaves, branchlets and conflorescences hoary.
Leaves terete, usually 5–18 cm long, divided 1 or 2 times into slender flexible segments 1–6 cm long and c. 1 mm diam., glabrescent, frequently some or many leaves not divided; petiole 1.5–4 cm long.
Conflorescences raceme-like, rachis 3–6 cm long. Perianth c. 6 mm long, yellowish white, pubescent.
Follicle oblong-ovoid, 25–35 mm long, 10–15 mm wide, glabrous, beak short; seed with wing formed on only 1 side.
Flowering: spring and summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Scattered or in small groups on sand plains in the NW corner of the State, mainly in the Bourke-Wanaaring area.
