Description: Annual or biennial herbs, decumbent.
Flowers in racemes. Sepals equal, spreading. Petals small to absent. Stamens 6, 4 or 2.
Silicula indehiscent, compressed at right angles to septum, usually splitting into 2 1-seeded units.
Distribution and occurrence: World: 10 species, Mediterranean, Africa & South America. Australia: 3 species (naturalized), all States except N.T.
