Genus Geitonoplesium Family Asphodelaceae

Description: Vines with fibrous roots.

Leaves with several distinct longitudinal veins and a prominent midvein, lamina twisted at base into a distinct petiole.

Flowers in terminal cymes or cymose panicles. Tepals entire. Filaments free.

Fruit a fleshy berry; seeds numerous, aril absent.


Distribution and occurrence: World: 1 sp., Malesia, Pac.Is., Aust. Aust.: 1 sp. (native).
