Sagittaria montevidensis subsp. montevidensis Cham. & Schltdl. APNI*
Description: Generally a larger plant than subsp. calycina, the petals white or with a green or yellow base, the female flower usually without a ring of functional stamens.
Distribution and occurrence: This subspecies is widely cultivated and is recorded as naturalised in NSW but we have been unable to find any naturalised specimens of it.
