Common name: Fairy Apron
Utricularia dichotoma subsp. oxleyensis R.W.Jobson APNI* Description: Terrestrial perennial herb. Stolons few, branched. Rhizoids numerous, simple.
Leaves linear-lanceolate, with a single vein; apex acute or rounded.
Inflorescences solitary, erect; peduncle 120–180 mm long; bracts and bracteoles broadly ovate; apex rounded; basal spur narrow, broadly rounded; corolla 7–15 mm long, mauve with 2 or 3 prominent yellow ridges basally; upper lip apex rounded or emarginate; lower lip flabellate, longer than the corolla spur.
Capsule globose, c. 5 mm long.
Flowering: December–April.
Distribution and occurrence: Known only from four sites between Ebor and the Carrai Plateau in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, New South Wales. Occurs in seasonally moist heathy swamps on peaty substrate, at 880–1500 m altitude.
NSW subdivisions: NT
Grows geographically close to subsp. aquilonia, although that taxon occupies sandy creeks in the vicinity.
