Desmodium nemorosum Benth. APNI*
Description: Erect herb to 1 m high; stems with dense, whitish grey, appressed hairs.
Leaves 3-foliolate; leaflets ovate to elliptic, 2–8 cm long, 10–35 mm wide, apex obtuse or acute, upper surface glabrous, lower surface paler, with dense whitish grey appressed hairs, terminal leaflets often conspicuously larger than laterals; petiole 7–23 mm long; stipules 5–13 mm long.
Racemes to 20 cm long, c. 12-flowered; pedicels 3–5 mm long. Flowers c. 5–8 mm long, purple to pink.
Pod 10–50 mm long, densely covered with hooked hairs; articles 2–5, each 5–10 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet areas on coast in open forest or on the margins of rainforest, north from Crescent Head, not common.
