Description: Prostrate shrub with spreading short hairs.
Leaves oblong to ovate or obovate, 2–6 mm long, often curved, minutely pubescent, lower surface white-pilose, midrib only exposed; petiole ciliate.
Flowers in short dichasia; bracts and bracteoles similar in shape to leaves but sometimes smaller. Calyx 4- or 5-ribbed, ribs minutely pubescent, grooves papillose. Petals 7–10 mm long, to 3 mm wide. Stamens usually 6.
Distribution and occurrence: Often grows on salt pans.
