Frankenia sp. A sensu Harden (1990) APNI*
Description: Small shrub, hairs ± dense, those on stem and calyx not hooked.
Leaves oblong to linear, lower ones oblong to elliptic, 2–8 mm long, 1–5 mm wide, minutely pubescent to ± glabrous, lower surface mealy, only midrib exposed.
Flowers in elongated dichasia or false monochasia; bracts and bracteoles similar to leaves. Calyx 5–7 mm long, densely to sparsely pubescent. Petals 4 or 5, 8–12 mm long. Stamens 6.
Seeds minutely pubescent.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on salt flats, rare.

This taxon is related to the W.A. species F. confusa Summerh.
