Oncinocalyx betchei F.Muell. APNI*

Description: Perennial virgate herb, 0.4–1 m high, grey-green and ± pubescent throughout; branches 4-angled, numerous from near base of plant.

Leaves linear to very narrow-lanceolate, 1–4 cm long, 1–4 mm wide, apex acute, base tapered or rounded, margins recurved, lower surface and more densely hairy than upper surface; subsessile or sessile.

Calyx tube 2–3 mm long; lobes 2–3 mm long. Corolla 5–7 mm long, white.

Fruit 2–3 mm long, enclosed in calyx tube.

Flowering: chiefly summer.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in disturbed sites and in woodland, chiefly on the Western Slopes; scattered, sometimes locally common.
