Sida cordifolia L. APNI*
Description: Erect, much-branched, densely tomentose subshrub to 1 m high.
Leaves ovate to broad-ovate, 1–4 cm long, shortly stellate-pubescent above, pubescence denser below.
Flowers in dense terminal or upper axillary clusters, peduncles c. 3 mm in flower, elongating to 2 c. in fruit. Calyx densely tomentose, 5–7 mm long. Corolla 8–10 mm long.
Fruit 6–8 mm diam., orange to pale yellow; mericarps 8–10, minutely stellate-hairy on top, 2-awned with retrorsely barbed points 2.5–3.5 mm long.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on clay soils.
