Description: Spreading woody perennial herb 25–50 cm high; dense to sparse stellate indumentum.
Leaves with lamina 0.5–3.5 cm long; petiole mostly 4–10 mm long; stipules persistent, 3–10 mm long.
Flowers mostly solitary or sometimes few in the axils; peduncles 2–3 mm long. Calyx 2–5 mm long, densely pubescent; lobes often purplish towards the tips. Corolla yellowish, shortly exceeding calyx.
Fruit 3–5 mm wide; mericarps 5, pubescent, acute at apex, wrinkled on back.
Distribution and occurrence: On shallow, stony soils in woodland and shrubland.
